Hand in Week:

As this week is deadline week I wanted to refine what I had. I went back onto processing and with the skills I had learned previously I was able to adapt my coding to suit the function of my concept. I needed to have a sound based function as well as a timer function.

I managed to create this using the minim library and a timer coding function to create both of these aspects.

This is the coding that I was able to create to perform the function of my concept. As a button is pressed on my laptop the the timer starts to count. once the timer reaches a certain time (in this case 10 seconds) a sound will go off until the user picks of the glass off the coaster. This gives the user an indication of how often they need to drink to stay hydrated throughout the day. If the key is released before the sound the sound will restart as will the timer. If this situation happens then it means the user is staying hydrated and is using the product well.

As well as the coding part of my project I was able to finalise my concept choosing materials on Fusion 360. From this I was able to create a final advertisement poster. This would portray the use of the product and also how the product would make you feel.

Indulge the fresher. release the pressure.

This poster was created using a high quality render using Fusion 360. I completely changed my design from my first iteration of my poster as I didn’t like how the product was being portrayed. In this I feel that the product is shown and gives an indication on how it should be used. The last part of my project is a film to show how the product is used. For this i will set up a scene and show how the product would be used in situ.
